Return & Exchange Policy

About our Products

Please read the product description carefully to be sure you understand the item you are purchasing and how long it may take to arrive.  


We do our best to avoid using “Stock Photos”. With the possible exception of belts, 9 times out of 10, what you see is what you are buying.

Because our products are handmade, each may slightly vary.

Slight variations such as color, abrasions, thickness, and suppleness of the leather can occur depending on the cut or type of leather used. Expect minor imperfections - this is what makes your product so special.

We use cowhides purchased from leather suppliers around the United States.
Some of our favorite suppliers are Tasman Leather Group, Horween Leather, Wickett and Craig, and American Leather Direct.

These hides are shipped straight from the tannery and are considered much more "raw" than leather you might purchase from a department store. This means that your leather product might have scratches, creases, bug bites, stretch marks, etc. If you do not want to see these marks on your leather goods, our products might not be for you. That’s just how REAL leather is.

We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the item prior to purchasing. 


Buyers are responsible for all taxes, duties and customs fees.



Our goal, to ship your item as soon as possible.  Ready to ship does not mean same day or next day shipping; it means you avoid the long wait times of our standard production schedule.


All items are shipped USPS Flat Rate within the United States.

Small items are shipped Flat Rate First Class; larger items are shipped Flat Rate Priority with tracking.

We do offer a pick-up service for local customers.

Refunds and Exchanges


We stand behind our products and want you to be happy with your purchase.
If you have a problem, get in touch and we'll do what we can to make it right.

All sales are final, however if you experience product failure I will happily replace it or issue a full refund upon return receipt and inspection. Gecko Leather Works reserves the right to assess the condition and age of returned product prior to authorizing a credit. This may result in a credit being denied. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.


If your item is custom made or personalized, a refund or replacement will be issued only in the event of product failure.


In the event a refund is agreed to, please allow us up to 31 days to process from the date of the agreed refund.


We will exchange goods if they were a gift to you for any product of equal or higher value with the difference being paid.  We will not refund any differences if you choose a lesser value item to the one you are exchanging.


We do not accept returns on used goods unless applicable to the terms stated above.
